Photographs have captured the moment three people injured in an inner west brawl spilt into a city street, allegedly turned on the ambos sent to treat them.
Emergency services have allegedly been verbally abused by three people who were injured when a wild brawl spilt into a street in Sydney’s inner west.
NSW Police say they were called to Edward Street in Summer Hill after reports of a clash at 4:30am on Sunday.
Burwood officers found the group dispersing leaving three men, aged 22, 40 and 21 as well as a 23-year-old woman all with minor facial injuries.
Three injured people, who appeared intoxicated, were treated at the scene but refused to be taken for further treatment.
Instead, police said on Sunday, the injured trio turned on emergency services and began verbally abusing the frontline workers sent to help them.
One 20-year-old man was sedated and taken to Royal Prince Alfred for assessment – no arrests were made and no one has been charged.
Police say the people involved in the brawl were known to each other.
